Almost back from my unplanned blogging hiatus...

I know, I know, I know....I have been such a slacker. It wasn't intentional. 1 month went by, then 2 and before I knew it 4 months have passed! I'm sorry. Please forgive me? I promise as soon as I find my camera cord thingy that enables me to upload pictures I will get ya'll up to date okay?!

As we madly packed tonight {tomorrow is our BIG moving day}, Chase came in from the garage and told the boys that there was a baby deer in the driveway! I didn't believe him. Much to my surprise, there was in fact a baby deer in the driveway!
A friend of ours had brought him over to see if we could spare a baby bottle to try to feed him. A friend of our friend {are you following this?} was swathing his hay tonight and almost ran the poor little guy right over! His mama was nowhere to be found and his fate was certain death if he were to be left in the field. He was So sweet and sounded just like Bambi when he bellered for his mama. The boys were astonished. Unbelievable! I will try and update on how he is doing...

More summer fun...

Summer fun

It was absolutely a crack-up watching Noah play with the sprinklers! Not sure if he really liked it or not. He seems to be pretty sensitive in bright sunlight, hence "the look". He's really not mad or grumpy, but is always scowling in the sun. Hmmm...a hat you might be thinking to solve this dilemma??? BA HA HA HA HA......not a chance! He won't keep it on. Enjoy this video...

A conversation in the bathroom this morning while Ridge was in the bath and I was getting ready...

Ridge: Mom I'm pretending my guy is Jesus...

Me: What? {he's got my full attention now}

Ridge: Because he can walk on water see? {Burger King kids meal man IS in fact walking on water.}

P.S. Easter Sunday in Sunday School, Ryder was the only one who knew what Easter is REALLY about. His wonderful teacher told me so afterwards. Awesome.

I've been such a blog slacker!

I'm sorry it has been so long since my last post. Life gets SO busy sometimes. I try not to let it get too busy for the things and people that matter most, but most days it feels like there are not enough hours in the day {although I am ALWAYS grateful when that blessed bedtime hour rolls around!}.
It feels like there are so many things that I need to bring you {whoever you are} up to speed on. First I would like to say HAPPY {belated} BIRTHDAY Nola Jean!!! I meant to send you a card or email or something, but I didn't and I am sorry.
Ryder also had a birthday {May 16th}....am I really the mother of an 8 year old!? No, that can't be right. I will post more on that later...
Noah, Noah, Noah.......Oh, where to begin! This child is a live wire! He never stops, and is constantly looking for {and finding} trouble! My Oh my how I love this boy...

• He is an awesome sleeper! He takes two naps a day, and is ready for bed around 8pm
• Is a good eater too! Steamed veggies are probably his fav, with breakfast skillet {hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, mushrooms & ham or turkey} a close second.
• Favorite toys of the moment are toothbrushes, balls & animals.
• Is talking like crazy! Some of the most common are Up, book, mom, dad, Ryder, diaper, Jake, baba, blanket, bar {as in a protein bar}...
• Is still a little TinyMite! I just bought some shorts for summer in size 3-6 months. Anything larger looked like high water pants. But is a size 6-12 month in shirts and pants.
  
• LOVES to play outside! But don't take your eye off him for a second, or you'll find him with the horses....ask Chase how we know this will ya'll? Oh ya, it totally happened...NOT a happy mama bear that day!
• Am I boring you yet? I could go on and on but I guess I won't. But I will leave you with a clip of Noah....this is how he rolls ALL DAY LONG!!!
  

A {not so} Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Sunday morning brought us a little grumpy being in the form of a boy named Ryder. It seemed no matter what was said or done, he was upset. I originally had plans to attend a baby shower in Idaho Falls, but after talking with Chase, we decided that the last few days had been about us and our own agendas, and that was probably the reason for our grumpy Mr. Ryder. So we let the boys pick our Sunday afternoon adventures. After a quick discussion, it was off to McTucker Gravel Ponds for some food, fun, and fishing with Grandpa Chuck and cousins Mason and Tanner.






We didn't catch anything {except for maybe a few hundred rocks inside of the boy's boots}, but it was a day enjoyed by all.
