Christmas 2011 {Better late than never!}

If I had to pick just one word to describe Christmas this year, it would be EMOTIONAL! For so many reasons...I think a lot has to do with the fact that 2 years ago right before Christmas, our world was turned upside down and sometimes it can still feel like it just happened.  I don't remember much from Christmas 2009, and the memories I do have consist of me clutching a phone, getting updates on sweet baby Noah, who at just 1lb was in surgery that Christmas Eve.
All of Chases' siblings and their respective spouses were "home" for Christmas this year! How awesome is that!?  I feel so blessed to have had everyone together to celebrate such a Joyous occasion!  While driving to Chases' parents' house Christmas morning, I was snuggled up to Chase in the middle seat of the truck, glancing in the rear-view mirror at the 3 most amazing boys; feeling the warmth of the sun hitting my face, I burst into tears.  My cup runneth over at that moment!  To have my sweet little family ALL together to celebrate the birth of our Savior,  I am truly thankful for HIS amazing grace on my life.  After every downpour, the sun will ALWAYS shine.

    Serves you right for having such a great Christmas!! You also have permission (and will forever) to be emotional about your darling little family.

    I went to my doctor appt last week for our new little bean (at the U) and walked past the lobby coffee shop and thought of you, and MISSED you! It was great to see you a few months ago.
